1. RUTLAND Furnace Cement is premixed and ready to use, making it one of the easiest cements to apply. Use this smooth consistency cement to bond and seal masonry joints less than 1/8 inch. Fix a crack, or seal between firebricks and prefabricated fireplace. Use this cement anywhere a quality high-temperature adhesive is required for furnaces, firebrick repair, filling gaps, sealing joints, or gluing ceramic logs. Adheres to metal, stone, and firebricks, creating a permanent smoke- and gas-tight seal.

The furnace cement worked really well in fixing a cracked fire ring. I didn't need to use the touch up paint as this was used for an internal part on the Big Green Egg. The ring has held up to two cooks with temps as high as 550 degrees.

I was recently gifted a cracked big green egg. I searched the internet on how to repair it. JJGeorge website came up with a story of someone doing a similar repair. So I ordered the cement and went through the repair process per the instructions. It came out super great. I am now doing my 1st smoke and the temperature has been holding for several hours. No spikes in temperature up or down. I am so ecstatic!! Also, want to let you know I called JJGeorge and left a voicemail about the grit of sandpaper for the cement. They called me back within an hour and gave me useful instructions. Hard to find good service these days. Thank you JJGEORGE!
