America's Best Smoked Appetizers on the Big Green Egg with Grillin' Garry

Memorial Day is always a favorite - we gather with family and friends, kick off the start of Summer, and get those grills going. Today we have a treat for you: Garry Yanke of @grillingarry is sharing his go-to crowd pleasing appetizers that can be prepped ahead of time and thrown on the grill for the party.

Grillin’ Garry Here!

If you’re like me, I like to go over the top with my meat and main dishes for my Memorial Day party. But I still want some appetizers that are grilled, taste delicious and look awesome! Normally when I’m getting ready for a BBQ Party, I make a Costco run! So, I’m going to share with you the things that I love to get at Costco that I can easily put together ahead of time, are easy to be grilled at almost any temp, come out looking awesome, and will impress your guests!

The idea is to serve in the same dish you grill them on... I recommend Finex Cast Iron or All-Clad for that elevated grilling look. But anything you have available will work!

Smoked Artichoke & Jalapeno Dip

What To Buy:

Artichoke & Jalapeño Dip

How To Prep It:

Pour contents into a great-looking, grill safe dish. Sprinkle with your favorite BBQ rub (I’d go with something that has a nice red base to give the dip a rich color). This dip comes in a 2-pack, so I would make 2 separate dishes and serve the second one once the first is gone.

How To Grill It:

Simply place it in any extra space you have on your grill! The lower the temp, the longer it will take to cook. You can pull it off when it starts bubbling... and it can stay there until the crust gets nice and crusty.

Smoked Brie with Chile Jelly

What To Buy:

Round Wheel of Brie

Small Jar of Your Favorite Jelly

How To Prep It:

Get out your fancy small cast iron pan. Open up the wheel of Brie & put it in the middle of the pan; leave the rind intact. Open up the jar of jelly and pour it on top. I prefer AlbuKirky Chile Jelly; however you can use any jelly. Make sure the jelly is pourable and not something you have to scoop out (firm jelly doesn’t break down easily on the grill).

How To Grill It:

Simply place it in extra space you have on your grill! The lower the temp, the longer it will take to cook. You can pull it off when it starts bubbling.

Next Level Option:

Add some well done chopped bacon to the top of the dish once it’s done.

Rotisserie Chicken Blue Cheese Queso

What To Buy:

Rotisserie Chicken

La Terra Fina Queso Cheese

Blue Cheese Crumbles

How To Prep It:

Shred the 2 chicken breasts and put them in a large mixing bowl. Add the cheese queso dip and stir it up until it is well mixed. The other 2 ingredients are can be added now or as a topper based on how much heat you want in your queso. The last 2 ingredients are Blue Cheese Crumbles and your favorite cayenne pepper sauce. This recipe makes enough for 2 smaller cast iron dishes. I recommend making one with some mild cayenne pepper mixed throughout, and the other dish with some heat and some jalapeno peppers on top once it’s been mixed and a crust starts to form.

How To Grill It:

Simply put it in an extra space you have on your grill! The lower the temp, the longer it will take to cook. You can pull it off when it starts bubbling... and can stay there until the crust gets nice and crusty.

Which one of these appetizers will you be trying this weekend? (All of them?!) Let us know in the comments!
