Easy Easter Ham

Ingredients:

Full, bone-in ham (12 lbs or so)

1 Cup Pineapple Juice

1 Cup Mango Juice

1 Cup Maple Syrup

1 Stick Butter

Cooking Instructions:

The ham can be cooked on a smoker/grill or even in the regular oven. Cooking in the smoker will obviously give it a nice, subtle smoky flavor. Start by scoring the top part of the ham in a diamond pattern. The cut is about 1/4" deep and they are about 1" apart. This allows the smoke to penetrate better, as well as the glaze. The ham is then placed directly on the grates in a smoker or a grill set for indirect cooking and 325 degrees. Cook the ham for two hours.

While the ham is cooking, begin to make the glazing liquid. Add the butter, pineapple juice, mango juice and maple syrup to a sauce pan and simmer 20-30 minutes.

After two hours, place the ham in an aluminum pan and start the glazing process. Separate the glazing liquid into four portions. Take the first portion and slowly pour the glaze over the ham. Repeat this glazing step every 45 minutes to 1 hour. The ham will be ready when the internal temperature in the deepest part reaches 140 degrees.

Remove the ham from the smoker, cover in aluminum foil, and allow to rest for an hour. When the ham is well-rested, carve and serve.

Ham ready to go!
